Touching poem on Terrorism!

They are shedding tears, but I won’t write to wipe them,

They lost their loved ones, but I won’t write to sympathise them.

They are threatened, but I won’t write to warm them,

They are horrified, but I won’t write to calm them.

Lives were washed away, under the sheets of bullets,

They pulled the trigger and terrorized them to the fullest.

Horrific wounds are buried under thick smoke of bomb,

while we just raise our voices on facebook dot com.

Furiously, the families were torn apart,

And a child asked them, “Don’t you have a Heart?”.

The world also cried, when flag of inhumanity was waved,

When the harmony of world and the peace were enslaved.

Death parcels fell from sky like present,

They killed innocents, “was this your intent?”.

To shoot his Dad, he was the one appointed,

While on other side, his mother was gunpointed.

This is not a movie which you can rewind,

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

“we ruined their lives,” they say with boast,

But Education is the power they fear the most.

They are shedding tears, but I won’t write to wipe them,

Let the tears be your strength and I will write to fight them.

They lost their loved ones, but I won’t write to sympathise them,

Let the hatred be always in your eyes and I will write to incise them.

Because, now is the time to say “ENOUGH!”

    1. Thank you so much for your suggestion, I will surely consider it…
I would love to hear from you about my other poem too…
And yes, words are the greatest weapon against terrorism! Saw your post on refugee camps, could feel the situation and their helplessness…

    1. True, God just made differences and we made divisions. But terrorism is a whole different thing, it has nothing to do with humanity. But, after so much of sacrifice, pain and loss of lives, we must stand up against this inhuman evil. Someone need to stand and say ‘enough’! Let’s hope for a better and peaceful world… 😊
Thank you so much, I am glad you liked it… 😊

  1. I have been browsing on-line greater than 3 hours nowadays, yet I by no means discovered any fascinating article like yours.
It is lovely value enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made excellent content as you did,
the web will be a lot more helpful than ever before.

    1. I won’t say any *specific* activity because terrorism is terrorism, may it happen in India or any other country. I just used the image of Mumbai Taj Hotel attack pic because that’s what I got at that moment.
Actually, the story of this poem is quite interesting, it was the start of my blogging journey! want to know?

      1. Wow! Actually it’s very deep and heart felt. I am even moved internally when I see or hear any such activities but never managed to write such epic thing πŸ˜€
So first thought after reading this poem was something would have affected you strongly that you penned down it so beautifully.
And yes I’ll like to know more. Tell me.

      2. So get ready to hear my struggle story! *dim lights please*
It all started when my tecaher asked me to write soemthing for school magazine and the topics were – School participation in Swacchta Abhiyaan, poem on cleanliness drive and everything related to particpation and particpation! so, I said – “Mam, can’t I write about something else, like “terrorism”? and she said – “yeah, you can try”
and then what happened, I wrote this down and I was actually impressed with this piece because I never really wrote a poem like this.
so I went to school and tada *apprecaitions appreciation* no, nothing happneed likethat. my peom was loved by my friends and also ,loved by my teachersBut I didn’t sent it for magazine…
and then I searched on net how to publish your poem, then came blog! Then I chose wordpress and it was my first post…. you will notice that I have directly put poem and nothing else in this post like heloo and bye bye because I didn’t knwo what to do then and it was so new for me…
and then my journey of wordpress started, a beautiful joruney where i met so wonderful bloggers that I can’t explain (one of them being you, right now) and from then, I am loving it.
so, after some time, I sent it for school amagazine, happy news it got selected but neevr published… i know what’s happening it got delayed opr something but I am happy that I found wordpress instead and got so much love from here…
similar poem of mine is also there, check out poem category…

I do that too sometimes (What Happened When Frank Died and The Last Prophet). I am looking forward to reading those as well. Maybe learn something from how you do it. (I’m very new to blogging stories so I’m always curious to see how others do things)

  4. Wow Harsh, I have no words to say, dear. What a poet you are and so agree with you that I need to put rhyming words in my poems but am not very rhyming types but when reading few bloggers beautiful poems am too getting little inspired. But you have written simply marvelously and what an honor u have given to the soldiers and it absolutely touched me, am still wondering what a beautiful poem. So now you have to tell me which you did not do yesterday pick up a stanza from my poem and give me a rhyme.

    1. Ah nothing like that, it was like my first attempt at officially writing a poem, haha I am really glad you liked it!!!
So you want me to modify one of your phone’s stanza? I mean, I need to write in my own words to make it rhyme, will that be good? 😊😊
Hope you’re having a great day!

  5. May I simply say what a comfort to find somebody who really understands what they’re talking about on the
internet. You actually realize how to bring an issue to light and make it important.
More and more people really need to look at this and understand this side of your story.
I was surprised you aren’t more popular since you definitely have

  8. This is such a great poem that I am running short of words to praise it! I truly believe that a persons age has nothing to do with the maturity or the talent. But you have got some serious talent kid ! Age brings only experience so I am telling this, that your talent is way beyond your experience. Never let this talent slip thorough your fingers while achieving your goals. Never leave writing at any point.😊 you are truly gifted ❀️ May god bless you all the time ❀️

    1. You have just made my day even more after this beautiful comment! I am so overwhelmed by reading it because I have known people who estimate someone’s worth on the basis of age. Not talent! I am so glad you’re not one of them!
Thank you so much for these words! Stay blessed Di! 😊😊

      1. I am so glad to know that ❀️ Not be rude but I have seen many adults who are very naive and still expect people to respect them for age. It made me feel that looking up to someone just because they are elder to us doesn’t work well. So I respect people for their mind and nature, never for their age! Anyways coming to you πŸ™‚ You are really gifted and I wish you a very good luck kid ❀️
