Ash was now regretting helping him. He did not even answer them politely let alone thanking them for their kind help. But the thing that amazed him the most was – Orange Blood. How could someone have orange blood running through his veins? It is for sure that he is not a human, he said to himself. But if he isn’t a human, then what is he? The more he tried to think of the answer to these questions, more the number of questions arose. He had never heard of any King Gildas, what land Aiden was talking about?

“Should we follow him?” Ash said with great excitement to find the answers to his questions.

“I don’t think we should go deeper into the forest. The sun will be setting soon, we will lose our way in the dark.” Aurora convinced him.

They both were now walking uphill finding their way in the dark Umbrane forest. Even after walking for so long, both of them came back to the same spot from where they had started. The forest plunged into darkness as soon as the sun dived in the sea of clouds. Ash was getting restless, his whole body was sweating, and a creepy chill went over his body. He didn’t want to admit, but some part of his brain knew that they were lost.

Aurora looked at him, they both were scared. Aurora held his hand firmly, “Don’t worry Ash, we’ll find out our way.” Ash looked at her, “Yes, we will.” He whispered.

They both decided to stay close, “Getting lost together is better than getting lost alone,” Ash reasoned, though somewhere deep beneath the layers of his heart, he was happy – He was with Aurora.

They didn’t realize that they were walking round and round in the forest that had turned now into a moonless night, pitch-black.

 

“How long does a walk take? He left me alone, again.” Jason said to himself as he stood in front of the window looking out for any trace of Ash. He was angry at him, Ash had never been out for so long, at least not without him.

He sat down in the chair at the dinner table, staring at the food he had cooked for Ash and himself. But he knew that his hunger had died a long time ago.

“He knows very well that I never eat alone, but why would he care about me? I am a fool who always worry about him.” Jason talked to himself getting out of the chair and running in the house.

Jason looked out of the window again, the night was dark and cold. Even he didn’t want to confess, but he couldn’t resist the feeling that Ash was in trouble.

“I hope you’re fine Ash,” He whispered. “I wish you come back soon.”

 

Ash and Aurora were still struggling to find their way in the forest. They looked at each other, and both were exhausted. They had been walking since very long time. Aurora could see Ash struggling to walk, she could hear him taking deep breaths.

“You must be tired, we should take some rest,” Aurora said pausing for a while.

“No, I never get tired, we should keep walking,” Ash said as he gave a long, weary sigh.

Aurora laughed at him, “You never get tired, but I do. Let’s stop for a while.” They both sat on the cool ground, upon the long and sharp wild grass, by a tree.

Ash was starving, and his mouth had dried up of thirst. He was feeling guilty for all that was happening. This all would not have happened if he did not go running after that golden butterfly. “I am sorry Aurora, this is all my fault.” He said in a sad voice.

“Ash, this is not your fault, nor mine. Someone wanted us to be here, at this place, together. Things always happen for a reason, and that reason is always good, you just need to learn how to find that goodness.” She said reassuring him.

Hello, dear bloggers!

How are you all? I hope you’re awesome and young at heart!

So, here I am with another post of my Blue Watery Eyes series! I am really glad that I wrote finally. I am so excited for Christmas and the winter’s break! I love those ten days of sleep, curled up in the warm blanket up to noon, haha. No tension of waking up in the chilled dawn to get ready for the school. Ok coming back to the post!
