Ash knew that Jason has a habit of sleeping whenever he gets depressed. He whispered Goodnight and laid down on other bed.

Ash was tired, but he couldn’t sleep that night. He kept on changing sides but still he could not dwell in dreams. Ash looked at the window to check whether it was closed or not, for he could still feel the cold wind coming in. But the window was closed, and what Ash could see outside was just a dark night, reminding of the moon’s absence.

Once again, he changed the side and squeezed his eyes, desperate to sleep. He tried to distract his mind but he could not, the sight of the forest was revolving in his head.

He was standing alone amidst the woods. He knew that it was a dream, just an interpretation of his thoughts, but still, he couldn’t get out of it. He tried to get back to the reality, lying in his bed, but he couldn’t. Ash heard a scream echoing in the forest that sent shivers down his back, he knew that he was not alone. He ran to get out of the forest, but as soon as he found himself struggling for breath, he stopped. His mouth had dried up. He looked around himself and to his surprise, he saw a pond. Just like a traveler in a desert, he ran towards the lake at the sight of the water to quench his thirst.

He dipped the cup of his hands in the pond to get out some water. The moment he got out his hands, the water in his hands froze in front of his eyes. He could see the whole pond freezing like a forest fire. Ash could not believe his eyes, he threw the water from his hands that had turned into ice.

Suddenly, Ash felt someone rushing behind him. He turned around, but he did not see anyone. Everything went silent. In no time,  a black figure came in front of Ash and grabbed him by his neck. Ash could feel the thrones piercing through his neck, he screamed but no one was there to help him in the middle of the forest.

  1. Brilliantly written Ash! I was wondering why this release was delayed!!
    Since I read all your previous episodes in one go.. this felt like the shortest one ever! Now you shouldn’t keep your fans waiting a whole day should you?!
    Would you consider two episodes a day? One in the morning and one at night?
    I’m sure many will agree with me! 😄✌

      I am really glad you liked it… idk why bit your comment went in the spam folder, that’s why it took me time to reply.
      Yes, you’re right, this was one of the shortest episodes because I wrote it just now… actually, sometimes it gets difficult for me to juggle with my studies bit you’ll notice that at weekends, I usually post big updates, more than 500 words..

        But yeah the spam filter is sometimes messed up!

        Gonna stay tuned for the weekends then! Do you build the story just as you type them, or do you have the sequence pre planned?

  2. From the part he found himself in the middle of the forest, it seem a dream sequence, is’nt it? I enjoyed this part too and looking forward to next one. Now rather than calling you little movielover, I will call you little storyteller, how’s it? 💓

        And yes, Alvin didn’t come there and took him. he is still in his dream but he can’t get out of it because they attack you I’m dreams and then it isn’t your dream anymore, and they don’t let you get back to the reality. It’s like, they can’t kill you in sleep but they become your worst nightmare!
