While the fireball of the noon was spreading the warmth above the land, Ash and Jason were under the roof, in their room. When the daily expenses were revolving in Ash’s mind, the most important question (according to him) was disturbing Jason – “We will eat what? Air?”

They lost their jobs today, but whenever the image of that old man crying, with the photograph pressed to his chest, flashed in Ash’s mind, he gritted his teeth. He knew who was the only cause for all what’s happening – the King.

As Ash looked out of the window, thinking about what he could do to solve all the problems, he rolled his eyes over the Sanctus lake. He saw something, and as soon as he realized what it was, he caught his breath. He rubbed his eyes to make sure that his eyes were not fooling him. But no, it was there, for real. A true white horse, with his hairs shining in the bright noon, was drinking water from the Lake. The amazement made Ash forget all his problems.

Since when he was a child, he wished if he could have a horse, his own horse. He had always dreamt (with opened eyes) of the cold gust of wind while riding the pure white horse. Whenever Ash told anyone about his desire to pet a white horse, people would laugh at it. “There are no white horses. There is brown, black, and gray too, but you never find a white one.” This have been one of the most huge disappointments for Ash. Though the flame of his belief in white horses flickered many times whenever someone told him that they don’t exist, the flame never extinguished. “They must exist, they have to,” Ash would say to convince himself. But now he could convince everyone. He could say to the whole world that they were wrong, true white horses exist!

“You just stay there, I’m coming!” Ash said looking at the horse from the window.

He rushed out of the room and ran to the door. As soon as he opened the door hurriedly, he slipped and stopped himself. But before his eyes could spot that horse by the bank of the river, it disappeared. The disappointment when people did not believe his words was nothing, when compared to how much disheartened he was feeling now.

Just a few moments before, he was so glad to see his dream coming true in front of his eyes, but now his heart was shattered into pieces. He was fooled by his eyes, once again.

“I got it!” Jason screamed so loud that it could it be heard from outside. Ash went running inside the house. “Got what?” Ash asked, partly confused and partly concerned about Jason if he’s lost his senses after losing the job.

“If we can’t find a job, then the job will have to find us. We just need to tell the job that we’re available!” Jason shouted in excitement.

Ash could not understand what he was talking about. He scratched his hand for he knew that Jason has got an idea, but there was no guarantee if that idea will work.
