Blue Watery Eyes! #35

Just a quick recap of the episode #34:

In yesterday’s episode, we saw Ash and Jason finally meeting Aurora.

Ash stammered while talking to her, and Jason was there to complete his sentences. While Jason was exploring her house, Aurora went to help Alvin.

Let’s see what happens next!

As soon as she was gone, “Who is Alvin? I’d thought that she lives alone.” asked Jason, elbowing Ash.

Ash chuckled, “Alvin is a mystery to me, even now. I literally jumped when I saw him, or I should say when I did not see him. He is Aurora’s friend, that’s what she calls him. And the reason why you can’t see him is – he is only visible to her. Yes, he’s invisible.”

Jason was astounded, “That’s amazing!” Just like what mom told me in her bedtime stories.

 

“I hope you’re enjoying yourselves,” came Aurora with a tray in her hands, that she carefully put on the table. “Ash told me that you liked these cookies, would you like to have some?”

Jason’s lips were stretched as he smiled, and picked one. He was thankful. “Thank you very much. Even Ash told me so much about you,”

Ash went red, and silently elbowed him. Aurora saw that and giggled.

“May I ask you something? Jason asked very politely.

Aurora nodded.

“Your friend, Alvin… I just wanted to ask… You have an amicus?”

Jason knew he was stupid to ask such a question, how can an amicus exist in reality. But whatever Ash told him about Alvin, this can’t be happening.

Ash was bewildered when he heard Jason saying that word, “You know what an Amicus is?”

“Yes, Alvin is an amicus. It’s great you know about him. Most of the peoples living near this town aren’t aware of these magical creatures. I wonder how you got to know about him.” said Aurora impressively.

“My mom used to tell me about them. But then they were just part of those stories, I never knew they were real. They were my favorite.”

 

Alvin was listening everything. Though he knew that evesdropping was bad, but when you can be invisible and the topic of the conversation is ‘you’, the idea of evesdropping doesn’t seem so bad. Alvin stood by the staircase. Suddenly, as he tripped over the marbles that fell from his pockets, he faltered and lost the balance. He grabbed the stool placed next to him, and before Alvin could realize it, the glass vase fell from the stool, and shattered into pieces.

The noise of shattering glass shook the three of them. As soon as they turned their eyes to the pieces of the shattered vase, that lied on the ground, Alvin went nervous. But before Aurora could stand up to help him, Alvin snapped his fingers.

All the broken pieces of the vase rose from the ground, as if they were floating in the air. The re-arranged themsleves in the air, and the vase was back again on the stool. The water in the vase that was spilled on the floor rose up in the form of water beads and then the flowers got back. And the vase was there, as it was before. As soon as Alvin corrected his mistake, he rushed over the staircase and went up with the speed of the wind.

 

“Was that… was that him, over there?” Jason couldn’t have been more excited.

“Yes,” Aurora said, “I will just come back, I hope he didn’t get hurt.”

Ash, too rose from the sofa to go and see her. But Jason pulled him down, “You’ll make it worse. Amicus used to be very shy in the stories, you might scare him.”

Even though Jason stopped Ash, he also wished if he could go to see him. But he knew that will just make the matter worse. Amicus are very shy in nature, and they find it extremely difficult to trust people. So Jason thought it better to just sit there and hope Alvin was fine.
