Hide and Seek

The flower I saw that day,

hidden in plain sight

as if seeking a shelter to play

Hide and Seek in the night.

The petals were wilted,

yet the fragrance flew

her inside beauty

was more than true.

I lost her again,

before I could say

“I found you, now

it’s your turn to play”

Years passed,

without her eyes

what a farewell it is,

if there aren’t any goodbyes?

I met her again,

under the moonlight

she shone like a star,

but the falling one at night

She came close,

put a hand on my heart

How did I ever live those days,

when we were far apart?

Neither of us said a word,

under the autumn tree.

She closed my eyes and whispered,

“You found me.”
