“How is Jason?” Aurora asked offering the cookies. “Why don’t you bring him here?”

“He’s good, he was just tired after we cleaned the house together, that’s why he didn’t come.” Ash lied.

“Has anyone told you before that your nose gets red whenever you lie?” Aurora said sarcastically.

Ash bit his lip, and his eyes were dancing to every corner of the room, he tried to say something, but nothing came out from his mouth, leaving him stammered.

It seemed as if Aurora sensed his nervousness, as she digressed. “Next time, tell him that Alvin has invited him for the cookies.”

“Certainly. By the way, you were going somewhere when I came here?” Ash asked, wishing to talk with her for some more time.

“I was just going to my garden; would you like to come?” Aurora said, rising from the sofa.

“Why not?” Ash stood up, excited to visit the yard again. Ash always found her garden, different. It actually looked like the flowers in the backyard could feel Aurora’s arrival, her presence. They rejoiced in her existence and grieved in her absence.

They both went to the backyard, which was as beautiful as a piece of land in heaven. Rose Bush made an arc that leads to the center of the garden, where bloomed the refreshing lilies. The delightful fragrance which adorned the place was ambrosial.

As soon as they walked in, the fallen leaves danced in front of their steps. Ash nearly jumped when he found it happening. He went near the corner, where the different colored orchids plants created something that looked like a rainbow.

‘It’s beautiful’ Ash thought and found his mouth to be opened.

“Ash, come here,” Aurora called him from the other corner.

Ash shifted his gaze and went near to her. “what happened?”

“You need to see this,” Aroura said without turning around, looking closely at something.

Ash came closer and what he saw was a golden butterfly, sitting on a violet lily. Its wings sparkled and glittered in the sunshine. Ash was amazed to look at it.

Aroura gently wrapped her hands around it, and brought it closer to her mouth and whispered something. She carefully moved her hand closer to him. “Make a wish Ash,”

Ash thought for a while, “I wish that her wish gets true,” He whispered.

As soon she opened her hands, the butterfly flapped its wings and flew, and started circling above the garden.

“It’s fascinating. Have you got a net? I need to catch it,” Ash whispered, looking above at the butterfly.

“No Ash, Don’t.” Aurora said, looking in his eyes. “Butterflies are meant to fly, to be free, not to get caught in a cage.”

Ash looked at her, “But… Can we follow it?”

“That’ll be fun.” Aroura nodded joyfully.

It was as if the butterfly heard their conversation, as it stopped circling the garden and flew straight into the forest.

Ash followed it, forgetting that he wasn’t allowed to go that deep in the woods. A part of his brain knew that he should stop, but he couldn’t. He kept following the butterfly, he didn’t even realize that he was now running downhill. Aurora tried hard to keep up with Ash, “Slow Ash, you’ll get hurt, ” but Ash couldn’t listen to her. And finally, he struggled to stop when the butterfly slowed down and landed on his wrist. Suddenly, the butterfly exploded into a puff of glittery golden dust in front his eyes which shook him and forced him to get back to the reality.

“Are you fine, Ash? You were so fast, I thought you would get hurt.” Aurora said catching her breath.

“Yes, I am fine and you?” Aurora nodded.

Ash looked around himself and found nothing except huge trees. “I have never been here before.” He found himself saying.

“So have I, we must get back,” Aurora said.

But before, they could turn around, a voice froze their steps.
